EVP creation

Background

I was engaged to develop and deliver an inclusive and representative employer value proposition to attract more diverse employees into this leading UK organisation.

My approach

I partnered with local schools and higher education centres, apprenticeship providers, and charities supporting the long term unemployed. My approach also included offering work experience placements (and financial support to take up the placements in the London office) in areas of the country with high unemployment.

I implemented training for line managers on how to support employees who have had non-traditional routes to employment, focusing on providing meaningful mentoring and peer group sessions to create a culture of belonging.

The impact

Clients were advised and offered consumer insights by a measurably more intersectional and diverse workforce that understood a wider range of their consumer’s needs and circumstances.

Encouraged new ways of thinking – and working – through a willingness to listen to different perspectives. The organisation reported an increase in the sharing of skills and knowledge, enhancing team performance, culminating in a ‘Best Place to Work’ award win.
